‘Romeo Mputu’ enthralls audiences with his infectious beats and songs as he drops the stunning ‘Open and Close’

Romeo Mputu has enthralled audiences with his infectious beats and songs from his African birthplace in the DRC and South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho, and dozens of festivals and shows in the US, including NYC, LA, and DC. His musical career began as a youth, age 12, playing drums in a South African church. Romeo’s exposure to music and dancing came early, with 10 of 12 brothers and sisters singing and playing musical instruments – driving him to be a better musician and performer.

That drive and determination are intrinsic to Romeo’s electrifying live performances. He has performed at the Soiree, a pre-Grammy-Award show in New York City and Los Angeles, Harlem Week in New York, and a VIP guest at the BET Experience in Los Angeles. Romeo’s next live performance will showcase his new singles on Bent River Records, “Ma Go” and “Open and Close” in Las Vegas for the “GramJam, an Award Weekend Celebration” at the Sand Dollar on April 1st during the 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony weekend.
